Seabourn to Deliver New European Experiences in 2018

Seabourn has big plans for Europe in 2018.
The ultra-luxury cruise line recently detailed a loaded sailing season that will take guests to nearly every corner of the continent following the debut of the palatial Seabourn Ovation this spring.
Seabourn will visit more than a dozen new ports of call across Europe this year, including Hamburg, Wismar and Bremerhaven, Germany; Szczecin, Poland; Turku, Finland; Rijeka, Croatia; Tasiilaq, Skjoldungen Fjord, and Maniitsoq, Greenland; and Seydisfjordur, Djupivogur, Grundarfjordur and Siglufjodur, Iceland.
Together, four of the five ships in Seabourn’s fleet will visit more than 175 different European destinations on voyages spanning seven to 45 days.
Following its launch in May, Seabourn Ovation will operate several seven-day Baltic and Scandinavian cruises sailing between Copenhagen and Stockholmthat will include a three-day stay in St. Petersburg, Russia. Longer 14-day voyages will take passengers to see the Norwegian fjords and the British Isles.
Meanwhile, Seabourn Quest will offer brand new itineraries in 2018 in order to bring guests closer to Iceland and Greenland’s unparalleled nature and unique Viking history. The ship will debut a series of 15-day cruises between Dover (May 17-June 1), Reykjavik (June 1-16) and Copenhagen (June 16-July 1) featuring optional Ventures by Seabourn expedition excursions in select destinations.
Seabourn Encore will sail a series of seven- to 11-day voyages in the high summer while Seabourn Odyssey will venture through the Adriatic and Aegean Seas from Venice to Athens this summer. Seven-day itineraries between Romeand Barcelona aboard Seabourn Encore will feature marquee ports of call along both the French and Italian Rivieras. The aforementioned Seabourn Odyssey voyages will include visits to multiple UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
“Seabourn has always been welcomed warmly in Europe, and guests will see a variety of opportunities to experience the many natural and cultural wonders across the continent,” said the cruise line’s president, Richard Meadows, in a statement. “With the launch of Seabourn Ovation, added overnight stays, and select itineraries enhanced with special onboard programming and optional for-charge Ventures by Seabourn expeditions in Northern Europe on select voyages, there will be more of those opportunities this year than ever before.”
Seattle-based Seabourn won the gold Travvy award for Best Cruise Line for Expedition and Adventure in 2018 while Seabourn Encore won the gold Travvy for Best Luxury Cruise Ship. Travelers will be happy to know Seabourn Ovation is expected to mirror its luxurious sister ship.
