Ultra-luxury cruise operator Scenic has confirmed that its newest ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse II, is scheduled to set sail in April 2023 with construction advancing as planned. Her inaugural voyage will be the Incredible Iberian Discovery, which sails for 11 days from Lisbon to Barcelona. Earlybird offers are available on many sailings with savings of up to 20 percent.

As the construction of Scenic Eclipse II reaches its final stages, Scenic has provided a glimpse into the numerous enhancements to the new Discovery Yacht. The development of the ship is showcased in a newly released video from James Griffiths, vice president of marine operations for Scenic Group (see above).

Scenic Eclipse set the benchmark in wellness with its expansive 5,920-square-foot Senses Spa complete with dedicated male and female wellness areas appointed with saunas, steam room, temperature-controlled plunge pools, relaxation lounges and a manicure/pedicure studio. The outdoor terrace features relaxation lounges and vitality spa. Scenic Eclipse also has the only dedicated Yoga and Pilates studio for a ship its size. Scenic Eclipse  II continues this commitment, with the expansion of the steam room area to include aromatherapy, an integrated ice fountain and experience showers, and the introduction of a KLAFS custom salt therapy lounge with heated beds, enhanced with aromatherapy scents designed to benefit mind, body and soul.

Due to guest satisfaction with the state-of-the-art KLAFS Infrared chairs on Scenic Eclipse, designed to relieve back pain and encourage muscle relaxation, an expanded dedicated infrared “ocean view” lounge with color light therapy to energize and reinvigorate skin cells has also been introduced into the wellness area on board Scenic Eclipse II. On Deck 10, a new bar area with indoor and outdoor seating will be a highlight for guests to enjoy the views with a drink in hand as they cruise through Antarctica, the Arctic, the Mediterranean or the Caribbean. A large oval-shaped pool with comfortable relaxation space will also be a new feature.
